A thank you for Weehawken Day

Dear Editor:
How do you say Thank You to our wonderful Mayor Richard Turner and City Council for our fabulous Weehawken Day outing which was attended by over 1,000 people on Oct. 8? It was held at our beautiful waterfront park. Everyone had a great time. We had a little shower late afternoon but no-one left. Rain bonnets were on and umbrellas were used.
Our Weehawken High School band entertained us with music. Bingo was played, faces were painted, train rides for the youngsters, and many other activities were enjoyed, too many to mention.
As for food – you couldn’t ask for more. Hot dogs, hamburgers, veggies burgers, cotton candy, waffles, and drinks were served all day, as much as you wanted.
Transportation was offered all day so you could come and go as you wished. Old friends were greeted and new friends were made.
Mayor Turner and City Council, it’s people like you who make us all proud to live in our beautiful town of Weehawken.
May God bless you all for your kindness.
