West New York man victim of violent car-theft attack

WEST NEW YORK — Cops are still looking for an ex-con from Inwood suspected of allegedly attacking a West New York man Wednesday morning after posing as a potential buyer of the man’s car, and then dumping him into the trunk, according to The Wall Street Journal.
The alleged perpetrator allegedly fled on foot Wednesday morning after he crashed the BMW of Akeem Ajimotokan, 33, into a livery cab stopped at the intersection of Dyckman Street, 10th Avenue, and Harlem River Drive in Inwood.
Ajimotokan was found by cops bound and stabbed with his ear nearly sliced off in the trunk of his BMW in Upper Manhattan. He is in stable condition in the intensive care unit at Harlem Hospital, according to the report.
His attacker remains on the run, according to police. He is described as 6-foot-8-inches tall and weighs 230 pounds. He has tattoos on his neck in Chinese writing and one on his hand that reads “TASHA.”
