A funeral service was held Jan. 7 for Maritza Cardona, 54, of West New York. She passed away Jan. 3 at Christ Hospital, Jersey City. Born in Manhattan, she was a secretary with the Bergen County Child Support Probation Services in Hackensack. She was the wife of Alfredo Cardona, the daughter of Estrella Robles and the late Julio Ceaser Reyes; the mother of Mark Anthony Cardona and Alfredo Cardona Jr., and the sister of Martin Reyes and Doris Rios. Also survived by nephews Julio Miguel Rios, Adrian Joseph Rios and Benjamin J. Reyes. Services arranged by the Vainieri Funeral Home, North Bergen.
