A funeral mass was offered Jan. 6 at SS. Joseph and Michael’s Church for Stephen Cucchiara. He passed away Dec. 29. Born in Hoboken, he was a lifelong resident of Hudson County, serving as a member of the Union City Police Department, retiring as detective and as a member of the Union City PBA. He is survived by his sister Mary and was predeceased by two sisters, Lillian and Antoinette. He was the uncle of a niece, three nephews and three grandnieces and one grand-nephew.
