In Hoboken, Forward Together school board slate sweeps election

HOBOKEN– The candidates from the Forward Together ticket in Hoboken won all three of the open seats on the local Board of Education on Tuesday night.
The candidates met with supporters at 10th and Willow Bar & Grill to thank them and celebrate the victory.
In attendance were officials who endorsed the ticket including Mayor Dawn Zimmer, members of the City Council, and Board of Education president Thomas Kluepfel.
According to Hudson County, incumbent Jennifer Evans led the count as of Tuesday night with 7,287 votes, Sheillah Dallara had 6,054, and incumbent Irene Sobolov had 5,836. The ticket beat out the Parents United ticket. Jessica Nelson led her ticket with 4,694 votes, followed by Jessica Rossini with 4,137 and Francis “Chipper” Benway with 3,756.
