First responders

Dear Editor:
Last Thursday, when I returned home from a trip to Manhattan, there was a message on my phone to the effect that my husband (a senior citizen) had been admitted to the ER at Hoboken Medical Center. I was also assured that he was in no danger and was being examined.
From what we could piece together, Myron was on his bicycle going down first street -near City Hall – and hit a bump which sent him crashing to the ground. His helmet saved things from being worse, since he was quite battered. Someone was kind enough to call 911, Hoboken’s ERT responded and took him to the hospital, where he received the very best care.
I would like to thank everyone for being so kind and helpful, it is comforting to know that we live in such a caring community.

Sincerely,
Emily Byrne Curtis
