KRAUSE, JOHN. L.

A celebration of life service was held March 16 at St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Secaucus, for John L.Krause, Sr., 80, a lifelong resident of Secaucus. He passed away March 12 surrounded by his family. Born to Alfred and Lois Krause, John served in the United States Marine Corp from 1956 to 1958. John was a funeral home assistant with Gerald Blacker Livery Service in Jersey City for 25 years. He was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Secaucus. John was an avid Giants and Notre Dame fan. John was predeceased by his wife, Elsie and by his brother Alfred. John leaves behind his son John L., Jr. and fiancé Joanie Cabrera, of Kearny, daughter Michelle C. Vanacore and husband John, of Rutherford, and his sister Florence Tarantino, of Secaucus. John will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Lauren, Jonathan, Annie, Lucia, Charlie. Services arranged by the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, Rutherford.
