Hoboken resident had tough words for the person who stole his bike wheel

HOBOKEN — In a mile-square city just across the river from New York City, things are bound to get crowded. Thus, many of Hoboken’s more than 50,000 residents ride bikes. And sometimes, they are victimized by bike thieves.
In the past, we’ve run photos of the signs that the victims posted about their missing bikes, some of which politely ask the taker to return the bike, others of which are not so diplomatic.
Last weekend, a Garden Street resident got tough when his bike wheel got stolen, posting three signs on his fence, one of which called the taker “soulless.” Two of the signs pointed out that the bike was a gift. And one made reference to Liam Neeson’s speech in “Taken.”
