PIATKOWSKI, RONALD W.

A celebration of life mass was held June 26 at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish, Jersey City, for Ronald W. Piatkowski, 78, a lifelong resident of Jersey City. He passed away June 19 at Hoboken University Medical Center. He was born to the late Walter and Alice Piatkowski. He attended Seton Hall University where he earned a BA in Business Management. Ronald entered the business world as a credit collections manager and worked with firms such as, Gold Star, Gloria Vanderbilt, Movado Group, Copo, Dunn and Bradstreet, Field and Stream and NJSEA Meadowlands Racetrack.
Ronald enjoyed gardening and the great outdoors. He spent time with his sons at sporting events and fishing trips. Music was another passion for Mr. Piatkowski. He was a member of the Jolly Musicians, member of the musicians union. The sax and clarinet was his instruments of choice, Piatkowski played with Jimmy Sturr, Polka and at numerous weddings. He leaves to cherish his memory wife Theresa Piatkowski and three children Andrew (Jeanette Flores), Janice and Ronald Jr. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends. Services arranged by the Greenville Memorial Home, Jersey City.
