A funeral mass took place June 15 at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Jersey City, for Millicent Cappadona, 88, known by family and friends as “Bubby”, a lifelong Jersey City resident. She passed away June 11. Bubby retired from the Jersey City Board of Education as a secretary of personnel and was an active member of the OLM senior’s club, and formerly St. Aedan’s club.
She was the mother of Samuel Cappadona and wife Carol; sister of Grace Balesterri, Yolanda DelGaizo “Lanny” and the late Sam DiFeo, Mary Mancini, Esther Balasucci, Genevieve Luisi and Vivian Tartaglia; grandmother of Samantha and Anthony Cappadona; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
