Services were held Aug. 26 at St. Martha’s Church in Point Pleasant for Raymond C. Bell of Point Pleasant, formerly of Jersey City. Bell, 80, passed away on Aug. 22 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. He was born and raised in Jersey City and was a firefighter with Engine 18 for 27 years until retirement in 1986. He was a member of the National Guard. He was the husband of Irene G. (Cullen) Bell; father of John J. Bell, Thomas G. Bell, Jean Bell Nolan, and Mary Ann Bell; brother of Edward Bell, and grandfather to Gregory, Michael, John, Steven, Lauren, Kathleen, Matthew and Shannon. He also had two great grandchildren, Connor and Ian. The O’Brien Funeral Home in Brick handled arrangements.
