COACH OF THE YEAR

Patricia Longo, head coach of the Bayonne High School boys’ volleyball team, was recently named New Jersey’s 2011-2012 Boys’ Volleyball Coach of the Year. Reaching 400 wins as head coach of volleyball at BHS, she was also selected as the 2012 Star Ledger Coach of the Year and the HCIAL Coach of the Year. Coach Longo and the boys’ volleyball team won the North 2 State Sectional Title, becoming the first team in the history of BHS to win the title. The Board of Education heartily congratulated Coach Longo for her outstanding achievements.
