A mass of Christian burial was performed Oct. 19 at St. Paul of the Cross Church for William J. Bush, Sr., 79. He passed away Oct. 15 at home surrounded by his family. A lifelong resident of Jersey City, William was a pipe welder for Cornell and Underhill in Hoboken, and a member of Pipefitters Local 274. He later worked for Local 1199 in the Maintenance Department at the Hudson County Courthouse. William was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He loved horse racing and football and was an avid Jets fan. William is survived by his wife Marilyn (nee: Manfredonia); father of William J. Bush II (Barbara) and Sharon Ann Rossano (Morris J.); grandfather of William J., III, Brianna and Matthew Bush; Tara, Eric, and Daniel Rossano; Alfred and John Manfredonia; brother of the late James Bush, Mary Margaret Procaccino and Jule Leary.
