A funeral mass took place Oct. 19 at St. Mary’s Church, Jersey City, for Milagros ‘Millie’ Colon, 37, of Jersey City. She passed away Oct. 14. Born in Jersey City to Esther (nee: Suarez) and the late Julio Colon, she was a lifelong resident. She was a Union Rep 246 Municipal Employees and was currently employed with the City of Jersey City as an Assistant in the Personnel Department. She was predeceased by her father Julio Colon and sister, Evelyn Colon. She is survived by her mother Esther Colon; her companion Timothy P. Carter, Sr.; her children, Nyla Carter and Timothy P. Carter, Jr.; siblings, Dianne, Maria V., Myra, Julio Jr., and Jose Colon. She was also the aunt of nine nieces and nephews and two great nieces and great nephews.
