Funeral mass was conducted July 21 at St Paul of the Cross R.C. Church, Jersey City, for Walter W. Hartwig, of Jersey City. He died peacefully on July 17. Walter was born in Jersey City and was a lifetime resident. Walter was a box maker for the Capital Box Company in North Bergen for 22 years, retiring five years ago. He was the husband of Sharon (nee: Hippe) Hartwig; father of Sheila, Crystal and Lori; brother of Judy Borrelli, Ellen Steiner, Anne Hartwig, Kathy Bibber, Linda Condi, Billy and James Hartwig and the lates George, Jack and Michael Hartwig; and also survived by nieces and nephews.
