A funeral mass was offered Nov. 14 at Holy Rosary Church for Rose Marie Fortunato, 89, a lifelong resident of Jersey City. She passed away surrounded by her family at Hamilton Park Health Care Center on Nov. 7. Rosie married her childhood sweetheart, Donato Fortunato in 1946 at Holy Rosary Parish. A wife married for 65 years, Rose and Danny were known as the “Noah” and “Allie” of Hamilton Park Nursing Home. She was the wife of Donato Fortunato; mother of Donna Roman and son-in-law Dennis; grandmother of Julia and Erick Cordero and Dana Roman; great grandmother of Lilliana and Michael Anthony; and sister of Louise and John Ferrulli and the late Dominick Torio and Ralph Onifrietti.
