TAUBER, BEATRICE

Funeral services took place Jan. 25 for Beatrice Tauber, 94, a longtime resident of North Bergen. She passed away quietly on Jan. 21 of natural causes at Van Dyk Manor, Ridgewood. Beatrice was born in Newark to Marie and Isadore Gold. She spent the majority of her adult life in North Bergen and was well known throughout the Bergenline Avenue – North Bergen – West New York shopping community as the lead sales person at Gail Brown, a high-fashion women’s clothing store on Bergenline near 58th Street. Beatrice worked at Gail Brown until her retirement at age 62. Beatrice was an active member of Hadassah and, along with her late husband Arthur, was a longtime member of Temple Beth El in North Bergen. Shortly after the death of her husband, Beatrice moved from North Bergen to the Hyatt Classic Residence, an independent living facility in Teaneck, where she resided until November of 2009. She moved to the Van Dyk Manor, Ridgewood, due to failing health. Beatrice is survived by her brother Fred Gold; her sons, Leroy and Stephen; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services arranged by the Gutterman and Musicant Jewish Funeral Directors, Hackensack.
