New Canine Unit a First in the History of the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office

Hudson County Sheriff Juan M. Perez announced the inception, for the first time in the history of the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office a canine unit to be utilized for bomb detection and patrol duties within the county. Perez stated that the four canines and their officers are assigned to the Operations Unit of the Sheriff’s Office and will be deployed as necessary throughout the county and to assist municipalities in times of need.
