A funeral mass was offered Jan. 9 at St. Michael’s Church for Catherine J. Collins, 88. She passed away at St. Ann’s Nursing Home in Jersey City on Jan. 5. Born and raised in Jersey City, she worked as the librarian at St. Peter’s Prep in Jersey City for over 30 years before retiring in 1983. She was a longtime parishioner of both St. Michael’s and St. Peter’s Church, Jersey City. Catherine was predeceased by her parents, Patrick and Catherine Collins, and her brothers, John and James Collins. She is survived by her brother Father Neil J. Collins and her sister Mary Collins. Services arranged by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City.
