Funeral mass was offered Dec. 31 at St. Francis R.C. Church, Hoboken, for Kathryn Butka, 91, of Hoboken. She passed away Dec. 28 at Hoboken University Hospital. She was the wife of the late Andrew Butka Sr., mother of Richard and his wife Michele, Kenneth and his wife Cecilia, and Andrew Jr. and his wife Barbara, grandmother of Nicole Pierce, Richard Butka, Christina, Lori Ann, Gina Butka, and Anthony, and great grandmother of Nicholas, Tyler, and Mark Christopher. Kathryn was predeceased by her brother Theodore and sister Anna. The family would also like to acknowledge Kathryn’s care giver who was considered part of their family Nelly Kartveli. Kathryn was a mother and homemaker and lifelong parishioner of St. Francis Church in Hoboken. Services arranged by the Failla Memorial Home, Hoboken.
