ASTOLFI, CLAIRE C

A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Jan. 5 at Holy Rosary Church, Jersey City, for Claire C. Astolfi, of Jersey City. She passed away peacefully on Dec. 29 at Compassionate Care Hospice at the Atrium, Jersey City, with her daughter by her side. She was 81. Born in Jersey City, she was a lifelong resident. She once was a secretary for Block Drug in Jersey City many years ago. She was a proud and devout member of Holy Rosary Church, where she was a member of the Holy Rosary Senior Citizens Group. She was a former member of the Holy Rosary Altar Society, the Catholic War Veterans Women’s Auxiliary and under the pastorate of the late Msgr. Gerard M. Santora, the Holy Rosary Secretarial Guild. She was predeceased in death by her parents Victor Delfino and Madeline Perolano and her husband Stephen Astolfi. Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughter Patricia Astolfi and two special cousins, Robert Brescia and Madeline Faccenda. She is also survived by many other cousins and friends.
