Funeral services took place Oct. 5 at Ocean Avenue Baptist Church, Jersey City, for Margaret E. Hatcher Watson. She passed away Sept. 28 at home. She had been employed as a social worker for Hudson County Corrections. She was also an Eastern Star. She was the wife of the late Claude Watson Sr.; the mother of Claude Watson, Jr., Alexander “Eddie” Watson, John Watson, James Watson and the late Kevin Watson and the late Bernadette Ellen Watson; the daughter of the late John and Ellen Hatcher; the stepdaughter of the late Herbert Brown; the sister of Sgt. James Brown, Betty Crawford and the late John Hatcher; mother-in-law of Robin Watson, Denise Brown, Rhonda Watson Strickland and Nikeya Lewis. She is also survived by a host of other loving relatives and friends. Services arranged by the Watson Mortuary Service, Jersey City.
