Dear Editor:
This was the fourth Holiday Season I had the privilege to attend one of Hoboken’s musical treasure concerts performed by the Cantigas Women’s Choir under the direction of Joan Isaacs Litman.
I am a lover of music ranging from classical to rock. I also enjoy singing and have done so in choirs and glee clubs in the past. With no exaggeration, I cannot praise this extraordinary group of women vocal performers enough. Not only do they give of their time and talent to the Hoboken community, but they also perform for a correctional facility and a cancer survivor’s group in New Jersey.
Each year, during the Holiday Season, and in the spring, I make it my business to set aside the dates of their performance, and I have never been disappointed. This letter is to congratulate them on their musical gifts, to thank them for their generosity in giving to the community and encourage any of you who appreciate music, like myself, to make it your business to not miss their future concerts.
