Dear Editor:
The worst thing about your Jan. 16 story reporting Panasonic’s intention to move from Secaucus to Newark in exchange for $100 million in tax breaks is not the loss of jobs for the Secaucus workers or the loss of tax revenue to Secaucus.
It is the fact that New Jersey, which is in debt up to its eyeballs, can ill afford to give $100 million to one of the wealthiest companies in the world. I, for one, will never buy another Panasonic product.
