A mass of Christian burial was conducted Jan. 25 at St. Mary of the Lake Church, Lakewood, for Margaret ”Midge” Monte, formerly of Hoboken and Weehawken. She passed away peacefully at home on Jan. 21, with her sister Celia at her side. Midge was retired from Keuffeland Esser in Hoboken and Morristown. She was a lifetime member of Deborah, Trade Winds Chapter. She leaves her sister Celia Monte, with whom she resided. Midge loved being around her family, especially her nieces, Maryann Murphy, Valerie Tedeschi and Darlene Leuders; nephews, Woodrow, James and Dennis Monte; and her grandnieces, Joanna Barlow, Christina Hoverter and Lisa Tedeschi and grandnephews, Daniel Murphy, John Murphy and Richard Tedeschi. Midge also leaves behind eleven great grandnieces and nephews. Her smile, wit and love of others will be greatly missed. Midge was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Josephine Monte; her sister Anna Marchetta; and her brothers, Woodrow Monte and Charles Monte. Services arranged by the O’Brien Funeral Home, Brick.
