Exclusive: Cop who sent dozens of West New York police to jail will now fight for job back

WEST NEW YORK AND BEYOND — In the mid-1990s, Richard Rivera blew the whistle on corruption in the West New York Police Department. Dozens of his colleagues faced charges, and so did the chief. Since then, Rivera has had many challenges returning to a normal life. He has consulted with the FBI and worked on many unique projects. Despite all that, he wants his old job back.
