Jovanni Torres leads special dolphins to victory

Jovanni Torres led a four-member contingent representing the Bayonne recreation Dolphins
Special Olympic swim team, by copping three first-place ribbons at the recently-held 2014 SONJ
North Jersey sectional swim meet. The event was contested at Seton Hall University (in south
Orange) and the results follow:

25-M Freestyle: 4th Place – Elaina Walsh
50-M Freestyle: 3rd Place – Ian Hudacko, 2nd Place – Elaina Walsh
25- M Butterfly: 1st Place – Ian Hudacko
50-M Butterfly: 1st Place – Jovanni Torres
25-M Backstroke: 1st Place – Jovanni Torres
50-M Backstroke: 2nd Place – Kaitlyn Frey
100-M Backstroke: 2nd Place – Kaitlyn Frey

The Dolphins meet was capped off by the two-ribbon winning relay squads:
4×25-M Freestyle: 1st Place – Elaina Walsh, Kaitlyn Frey, Jovanni Torres and Ian Hudacko
4×50-M Freestyle: 2nd Place – Elaina Walsh, Kaitlyn Frey, Jovanni Torres and Ian Hudacko

The Dolphins were accompanied to the meet by their very proud coaches John Valdora and Theresa Diaz, who were ably assisted by Sheila Hudacko, Tony and Melissa Torres.
