Recap of Hoboken Little League action

Here is a rundown of recent Little League scores:

CHIRICHELLA BOYS outscores STAN’S 13-8

ADRIAN PETRI led CHIRICHELLA BOYS’ offensive threat, as he got on base four times in the game. He scored four runs and had one RBI. The STAN’S attack began with a single from VINCENT CHIRICHELLA. A stolen base then moved VINCENT from first to second. DANIEL RASHKES singled, scoring VINCENT. The game was never in doubt after the second, as CHIRICHELLA BOYS scored six runs on an RBI double by MICHAEL D’ANTONIO and a fielder’s choice. CHIRICHELLA BOYS built upon its lead with two runs in the third. A ground out scored ADRIAN for the inning’s first run. That was followed up by JAMES DAVIS‘s triple, bringing home FAYVIAN CORDOVA. A five-run fifth inning helped bring STAN’S within three. An RBI single by JOSHUA SAPIRA, and a walk by ZACHARY RUBIN. CHIRICHELLA BOYS added three more runs in the bottom of the fifth. MATTHEW started the inning with a single, bringing home ISA OLIVERI and ADRIAN. One run in the top of the sixth closed its deficit to 13-8. An RBI double by JACK CONLON sparked STAN’S’ rally

YOUNG DEMS outscores CASSESA’S 12-8

ANGEL QUINONES reached base three times. He scored three runs and had one RBI. He singled in the first inning. YOUNG DEMS jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the top of the first. A single by ANGEL, bringing home SEAN SMITH and JUSTIN BROWN started the inning off. YOUNG DEMS added more runs when QUINONES scored on a walk by ELIAS WILLIAMS and R scored on a walk by GABE LADEN. CASSESA’S pushed across one run in both the first inning and the Fourth. In the first, CASSESA’S scored on an RBI double by THEO INHULSEN, plating CALVIN FLETT. YOUNG DEMS never surrendered the lead after the fourth inning, scoring five runs on an error and an RBI single by KYLE SMITH.

ELKS seize victory drop MAS DEMOLITION 9-5

ANTHONY PERRINOD racked up three RBIs on three hits for ELKS. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the first and sixth innings. MAS DEMOLITION gave up four unearned runs while committing three errors over the course of the game. SABASTIAN singled to ignite ELKS’ offense. A stolen base then moved SABASTIAN from first to second. ANTHONY singled, plating SABASTIAN. ELKS pushed more runs across when PERRINOD scored on a steal of home. MAS DEMOLITION scored two runs of its own in the first. MAS DEMOLITION scored on An RBI double by DANNY HANSON and a walk by ROBERT AULD.

FIRE DEPT., drops 5-3 decision to MARIO’S PIZZA

FIRE DEPT. built an early edge on Thursday, but MARIO’S PIZZA roared back to steal a 5-3 victory at Hoboken. An RBI single by SAWYER KRON gave MARIO’S PIZZA the lead in the fifth inning. HUDSON PORADA had two extra-base hits for MARIO’S PIZZA. He tripled in the second and fifth innings. MARIO’S PIZZA’s BENNY LOVE, ANDREW WHOLF and HUDSON combined for five hits and three RBIs.

POLICE DEPT. defeats FIORE’S 10-6

Thursday was a rough outing for JACOB JARRETT, but POLICE DEPT. still managed to pull out a 10-6 victory over FIORE’S in six innings at Hoboken. POLICE DEPT. scored in the first on An RBI double by LUCA CONETTA, a groundout by DOMINICK CHINCHILLA, a walk by GABRIEL ROTHKEGEL, and a two-run single by CHARLTON ALONSO. A three-run triple by JOSEPH SOBOLOV fueled FIORE’S’ comeback. It didn’t take long for POLICE DEPT. to answer as it scored one run of its own in the fourth. POLICE DEPT. scored on an RBI single by NIAM GILYARD

MAS DEMOLITION outdone by YOUNG DEMS, 9-6

JUSTIN BROWN went 3-3 at the plate, helping YOUNG DEMS to a 9-6 victory over MAS DEMOLITION on Friday at Hoboken. He tripled in the first and second innings and doubled in the fourth inning. MAS DEMOLITION jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first. The MAS DEMOLITION attack began with a single from DONNY ROSSO. YOUNG DEMS survived MAS DEMOLITION’s surge and put up one run of its own in the first. YOUNG DEMS scored on a triple by JUSTIN.

Dual-threat carries RUSSO’S past STAN’S 8-2

An impressive two-way performance from MICHAEL EFFINGER led RUSSO’S to a 8-2 win Friday over STAN’S, as MICHAEL E came up huge at the dish and on the mound. MICHAEL E went 2-3 and scored two runs. He singled in the first and sixth innings. RUSSO’S scored three runs in the fifth on RUSSO’S scored in the fifth on A solo home run by ZACK GUIDO, a walk by MATTHEW HARASACK, and an RBI single by JONATHAN SALINAS. RUSSO’S went up for good on an RBI single by JAE COTO bringing home GAGE LUCKEN. BRANDON LU got on base three times in the game for STAN’S. He also drove in two runners. He tripled in the first inning.
