Richard L. Korpi Community Center Ice Rink Re-Dedication

Mayor James Davis, Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Patricia L. McGeehan, City Officials, and Board of Education members assembled for the re-dedication of the Richard L. Korpi Ice Rink on Friday evening December 18th. The ice rink, which was closed throughout the Summer and most of the Fall for repairs opened just in time for the commencement of Bayonne High School hockey winter season. The ice rink is a hub for the City’s youth. Activities include hockey, public skating sessions, and figure skating events. The Community Education Center also houses basketball, karate, cheerleading, track, and dance. Dr. Patricia L. McGeehan stated, “I am excited that the City and Board of Education came together to upgrade this cherished facility. Now, community members can continue to take full advantage of everything the ice rink has to offer. I am looking forward to an exciting year on the ice for our students and all enthusiasts.”
