Dear Editor:
Prior to their elections, former New York mayor Mike Bloomberg and former U.S. Senator Jon Corzine had no political experience. Neither did Ross Perot before his 1992 presidential campaign. Yet, only Donald Trump came under scrutiny for his lack of public credentials. If the voters of Minnesota can send comedian Al Franken to the U.S. Senate, there’s no logical reason why a business professional can’t be sent to the White House. With a 19 trillion dollar debt and a 40 billion dollar trade deficit, maybe our country needs to be run more like a business and less like a charity or a support group. With Mike Pence’s political experience and Donald Trump’s negotiating skills, the two would make a good team.
