A funeral service was held Feb. 10 for Joseph A. Sherry, 62. He died on Feb. 7 at the Lyons V.A. Hospital. Born in Rye, N.Y., he lived the past 10 years in Jersey City, and was formerly a resident of Union City. He was a disabled veteran, having served his country in the Vietnam War. Survived by his former wife and “best friend” Roseanne Sherry. Survivors include his son, Jay R. Sherry and his wife Alana; his sisters, Michele Sherry and Annette Tabbachino and her husband, Vincent; two grandchildren, three nephews, a great-niece and great-nephews.
