Dear Editor:
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Hoboken Police Department, Fire Department, Emergency Medical Service, Office of Emergency Management, and all our other Public Safety officials for a job well done on July 4. Also, a special thanks to the Hoboken University Medical Center who made sure their staff was on call in case of any emergencies. In addition to the Hoboken residents who enjoyed celebrating Independence Day at home our city served as host to thousands of visitors from many different cities, states, and countries. Thanks to all of your hard work everyone remained safe while enjoying the holiday.
In addition, I would also like to take a moment to express my gratitude to all of our service men and women stationed around the world who protect our freedom each and every day. It is important to always remember those who have put their lives on hold and sacrificed their dreams in the name of freedom. Thank you so much for your service.
Last but not least, I would like to commend Macy’s on their most fantastic fireworks display to date. Residents of all ages were mesmerized by the amazing display that lit up the sky. Macy’s did a tremendous job of helping pull different communities together to celebrate America’s birthday, which is what this great country is all about.
