Dear Editor:
Is there only one “elitist” charter school in “our” whole town? Appearances at Council meetings to lionize only “their “students? Star quality appearances by local and state elected luminaries and political personages for only one school in town, with accompanying publicity, and media intervention, of course! All at or near election time?!
Obvious favoritism and elitism monopolizes education and attempts to downsize all other educational pursuits! Our students, all of them, deserve better! Let’s give all our students and their parents a better education, especially at election time and far into the future! Additionally, trumperous scripted speeches don’t reform education! Concerned parents, taking the time and exhibiting their energy on the issues, sitting down with those in charge, including teachers and administrators, consistently can make progress, one meeting at a time!
