Can Hoboken handle NJ Transit’s redevelopment plans?

Dear Editor:
I attended the meeting with NJ Transit officials last week. While your reporter’s article was comprehensive, there is a correction I would like to make. John Leon’s presentation did not mention an “18-story” building. He spoke of a building “no higher than the W.” In fact, the W is 26 stories tall, almost one-third taller than the article stated.
Also, this plan is for three percent of the 52-acre site they propose to redevelop. How many more tall buildings can we expect? Can our sewers, fire department, police department, and other public services absorb this? Will Hoboken’s south end become another Newport?
