Every year the senior citizens of North Bergen meet at their annual picnic, organized by the township, and spend the day dancing to oldies and enjoying refreshments.
At the North Bergen 17th Annual Senior Citizen Picnic, held on Sept. 15, the picnic and the seniors were in full swing.
Around 1,000 seniors were bused to Schuetzen Park Ballroom, where they had the opportunity to spend time with seniors from across the township, as well as elected officials. Mayor Nicholas Sacco, and Commissioners Frank Gargiulo, Hugo Cabrera, Theresa Ferraro, and Allen Pascual all attended the event.
