The funeral liturgy was performed Dec. 31 from St. Ambrose Church, Old Bridge, for Alice Lillian “Lil” Tevis. She passed away Dec. 27 at Raritan Bay Medical Center surrounded with love with her family by her side. She was born in Jersey City and lived there most of her life, living in Old Bridge since 2005. Lillian was predeceased by her husband, Peter E. Tevis Sr.; her grandson Peter E. Tevis III; her great grandson Justin Ramirez; her parents Charles and Alice Stuart and many brother and sisters. Lillian is survived by her children Peter and Katherine Tevis of Old Bridge; Francis and Barbara Tevis of Marlboro; Patricia (Tevis) and Walter Ziemba of Manchester and Dorothea (Tevis) Trackewicz of Bayonne. Lillian is also survived by her grandchildren and their spouses; Kori Tevis Totten and her husband Ray, Michael and Selena Tevis, Kristen Tevis Celentano and her husband Rocco, Matthew and Jennifer Tevis, Melissa Ziemba Wells and her husband Matthew, Jason and Angela Ziemba, Alicia Trackewicz, and Keith and Annie Trackewicz. Another pride and joy of Alice’s life were her great grandchildren; Grant, Jordan, Gabriella, Rocco, Marissa, Rylie, Emily, Dylan, Alexis, Eddie, Tatyana, Autumn, Maya and Keith. She will be missed by her speical nieces and nephews; Robin, Jacqueline, Rhonda and Eric, and by her many friends. Services arranged by the Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge.
