A mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Dec. 9 at Immaculate Conception Church in Secaucus for Henry F. (Whitey) Murphy, 82. He passed away peacefully on Dec. 4 at Meadowlands Hospital in Secaucus. Born and raised in New York, Henry resided in Secaucus for the past 56 years. Henry worked as a platform loader for Red Star Trucking in Newark for over 30 years. He was a founding member of the Secaucus High School Band Parents Assoc. He was also involved with the local Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. Henry was involved heavily in the community. Predeceased by his wife Muriel in 1995, his brother Johnny, and his sister Caroline, he is survived by his two sons Christopher and Scot both of Secaucus, his brother Joseph; four sisters, Elizabeth Dzinski, Margaret Stockhausen, Loretta Santomero, and Mary Boyer; and many nieces and nephews.
