Radil, Ballance help Bengals roar past Eagles

Searching for their first victory, the (0-1) Bengals and the (0-1) Eagles locked horns in a JCC of Bayonne Sr Division Indoor Flag Football tussle. After trading TDs with the Bengals’ Mike Piscopo hauling in a wire to wire pass and Jack Kruchkowski blasting 30 yards on a scoring sprint, the seemingly evenly matched teams parted ways. As the Eagles’ offense went into a deep freeze, the Bengals began to look like a well oiled machine. Dominating both sides of the ball, the Bengals built a 24-6 advantage on 2 TDs by Drew Radil including an interception “Pick Six”, a two point catch by Radil, another two point grab by Mike Piscopo, and finally a defensive safety. Looking to reboot their offense, the Eagles returned to their running game with Mariam Rasslanscrampering 20 yards to paydirt followed by an Ezekiel “EZ” Lupianez two point catch to cut the Bengals’ lead to 24-14. Leading by 10, the Bengals unleashed a scoring blitz as Chris Ballance (4 TDs, 4 extra points), Drew Radil (3 TDs), Mike Piscopo (4 extra points) and another defensive safety rocketed the Bengals’ lead to 76-14. Arriving late the Eagles’ speedster, David Matos did help his squad move the ball but in the end the Bengals ruled the day with a huge 76-14 win.
