“Buddy,” passed away in his home in Point Pleasant, NJ on October 24, 2016. Mr. Daly is predeceased by his parents, Harry W. and Isabel Daly, and his brother, Billy Daly. Buddy, a lifelong resident of Bayonne, graduated from Montclair State University. He was a History teacher at Bayonne High School for 39 years. Buddy was the head freshman football coach in the late seventies. A father and friend, Buddy was also a member of the NJEA and the treasurer of the Bayonne Teachers Association. He was a member of Saint Martha’s RC Church in Point Pleasant. Surviving are his two sons, Matthew Daly and his wife, Christina; Timothy Daly; daughter, Jennifer Daly; two sisters, Diane Carr and her husband, Ronnie, and Debbie Kaczka and her husband, John; brother, Harry Daly and his wife, Karen; three grandchildren, Nyla Shea, Daniela Rose, and Alexandra Rae Daly; former wife of 37 years, Colleen Daly; girlfriend and companion of 12 years, Susan V. Smith and their German Shepherd, Sully; as well as many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to “Stand Up To Cancer” in honor of Howard W.
