Ravi Bhalla supports Forward Together team

Dear Editor:
I write to express my enthusiastic support for the Forward Together team (1-2-4 ) of Jen Evans, Sheillah Dallara, and Irene Sobolov.
When I first moved to Hoboken, the administration of our school district was plagued by ineptitude, waste and abuse of taxpayer dollars. That all began to change when a group of committed residents became involved and transformed our Board of Education into one comprised of experienced professionals, committed parents and honest public servants.
The result has been an ongoing progressive transformation of the quality of education in our school district over the years. Every year, our schools are getting better. Enrollment is increasing, tax dollars are being used efficiently, and resources are being directed into the classroom and after-school enrichment programs. As a resident with children in the public schools, I have seen first hand the excellent quality of education and commitment to children shown from teachers, staff, board members and our Superintendent, Christine Johnson.
It’s critical this Nov. 8 to ensure that this positive trend continues, and that we take one step forward, not one step back. Jen, Sheillah and Irene are talented, sincere and committed candidates with children in our public schools. They have a demonstrated track record of accomplishments that have benefited the children in our district.
While no school district is perfect, the Forward Together team has demonstrated the ability to confront past and present challenges head on and make the hard decisions necessary to improve the quality of education in Hoboken.
While the national elections with Trump and Clinton have taken much of the spotlight, please realize that the value of your vote, and the ability for you to make your voice heard and influence the outcome of an election is far greater right here locally, in Hoboken, with your vote in the school board election. Please make your voice is heard because your vote really does matter in this election. Please cast your vote on Nov. 8 for the 1-2-4 Forward Together Team of Jen Evans, Sheillah Dallara and Irene Sobolov.

Sincerely,
Ravi S. Bhalla
