HOBOKEN — Mayor Dawn Zimmer endorsed the Forward Together School Board slate of Jennifer Evans, Sheillah Dallara, and Irene Sobolov in the upcoming Board of Education election, according to a media release.
“I’m thrilled to endorse the Forward Together ticket of Jen Evans, Sheillah Dallara, and Irene Sobolov for School Board this November,” said Zimmer. “Our schools are moving in the right direction thanks to the hard work of Jen, Irene, and their colleagues, and I’m confident Sheillah has the experience to be a valuable addition to the team. This November 8, I urge Hoboken residents to vote 1-2-4 and support the Forward Together ticket, so Jen, Sheillah, and Irene can keep our Hoboken school system on the right track for our children.”
“We deeply appreciate the recognition of the work it has taken to get this far,” said two-term incumbent Irene Sobolov of the endorsement. “It’s so gratifying when our civic leaders rally with us to support the progress in the district.”
The Forward Together ticket has also been endorsed by Councilmembers Tiffanie Fisher, Peter Cunningham, Jen Giattino, Jim Doyle, and Ravi Bhalla.
The candidates will appear on the same ballot as that for the Presidential candidates.
