Grateful for excellent care

To the Editor:

In the hardest days of my life, the last two weeks of my husband’s life, somehow the excellent care he received brought me some comfort. I want to start by thanking the third-floor nurses, aides, and doctors at CarePoint Health in Bayonne. My husband received excellent care, and I am thankful.
Next, my husband was sent to Alaris Health in Rochelle Park. The nurses, aides, and doctors treated him well and showed compassion and patience to me and my family when we were given the news that he would be placed on hospice and the days leading up to his passing.

Of course I cannot forget my husband’s doctor, Dr. Ira Brooks, for the many years of wonderful care he gave to my husband. He always took the time to listen and show concern.

Then when the end came, Bayonne memorial Home and the Cymbors’ took great care in helping arrange the beautiful service. Every detail was attended to with perfection.

I want to thank Father Philip Sanders at St. Andrews, Jeff Macanka, Sacalis Florist, the pallbearers, the singer, and the Marine Corps League. Al their work and talents helped make the services a beautiful, final good-bye.

Your kindness, helpfulness, and compassion will remain with me to ease my sorrow.
