A funeral mass was celebrated Aug. 10 at Our Lady of Mercy Church for Dolores Chipko, 82. She died Aug. 5 at Bayshore Hospital, Holmdel. A lifelong Jersey City resident, she was the daughter of the late Anna and John Peters. She retired in 1989 after 26 years as an executive secretary at Bank of America. Dolores was a Eucharistic Minister and Lector at Our Lady of Mercy Church, a volunteer at Our Lady of Sorrows food pantry and an administrative assistant at St. Peter’s Church.
She was the wife of the late Paul Chipko; mother of Kathleen Bergin and her fiance John Dillon, Paul (wife Lorraine) and Daniel Chipko; grandmother of Paul Adam (wife Kristin), William, Jessica (husband Clint Robinson), Christine and Amy; great-grandmother of Paul and Karl Andrew; sister of Patricia Goceljak and the late John, Helen, Joseph,Mary, Kathy and F.Donald Peters. Visiting Tuesday, 4-8pm at Greenville Memorial Home.
