BRUZGIS, STANLEY MICHAEL

A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Aug.10 at Immaculate Conception Church, Secaucus, for Stanley Michael Bruzgis, 88. He passed away Aug. 5 at Hackensack University Medical Center. Stanley was born in the Bronx to William and Josephine Bruzgis, and he was a lifelong Secaucus resident. Stanley served his country during the Korean War with the U.S. Army. He was employed for most of his life as a show manager for G.E.S. in New York, retiring in 2011. tanley was a member of American Legion POST 118, Secaucus, and president for 45 years of the Gun, Bow and Rod Hunting Club of Freehold. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed playing basketball and gardening, but his greatest joy was spending quality time with his grandchildren, and great grandchildren as well as his family.
Stanley was predeceased by a daughter, Geraldine Yuengling, and two brothers, Vincent and Thomas Bruzgis. Surviving him are his wife of 45 years, Janet (Rhinehardt) Bruzgis; two daughters, Jennarae (Ronald) DeGroff of Tennessee, and Janet (James) Colamarino of Wanaque; a brother, Frank Bruzgis, of Secaucus; three sisters, Helen Evans, Frances Duffner, and Josephine Bruzgis; four grandchildren, Pamela Yuengling, Dean Andrews, Presley DeGroff and Alexandria Colamarino, and two great grandchildren; Aubrey Bowie, and Calista Bowie.
