Kushnir resigns from Bayonne school board

BAYONNE — Barry Kushnir resigned his position as a trustee on the Bayonne Board of Education on July 27, citing professional reasons.
Kushnir is the fourth trustee to resign in the last half year and comes just as candidates for the upcoming election filed to run.
Kushnir was among the first wave of newly elected trustees when Bayonne returned to elected board, and has only served since January.
The board is seeking nominations to replace Kushnir and will accept resumes at the board offices until 10 a.m. on Aug. 15. After this, the board will begin conducting interviews.
