Funeral services took place June 4 for Michael Peter Suchdolski, 58, a member of the Jersey City Fire Department for almost 34 years. He died in an automobile accident on May 29. Born in Jersey City, he was the son of the late Stanley and Eleanor Suchdolski. During his career he earned numerous awards even though he felt, “It was just part of my job,” and was attaining the rank of captain.
He was a member of the Sgt. Francis M. Glynn American Legion Post 132 in Franklin, and was an avid golfer accomplishing three “Hole in Ones.” He took great joy in expanding his knowledge watching Jeopardy. Mike is survived by his wife Nancy (Swiss) of Hardyston; his son Michael R. Suchdolski of Lafayette Twp.; his daughter Rachel Suchdolski of Hamburg, and granddaughter Jeweliauna Matta. He was the brother of Thomas Suchdolski of Jersey City, and was predeceased by his brother, Stanley Suchdolski.
