The JCC of Bayonne’s Sr. Division floor hockey’s two top contenders met for their final regular season bout as the (3-2-1) Devils faced off against the (3-1-2) Islanders. Battling to a 2-2 deadlock with only 6:26 left to play, the Devils and the Islanders’ were clearly in playoff form. Trading goals in the early going the Islanders’ Drew Radilcashed in with two jarring scores off assists by Jacob Kowal and Shawn Agosto while Alex Riboldi and Marek Mickiewicz teamed up with each notching a goal and an assist for the Devils. Entrenched in the Devils’ zone all game long, the Islanders pounded away at net but a rock solid effort by the Devils’ Zachary Ciesmelewski in net repelled over twenty shots. Dodging one volley after another by the Isles including two post dingers by Elliott Santana, the Devils finally turned the tables as Mickiewicz slid a centering pass to Riboldi who made it 3-2 Devils with a scoring dart. Loading up on defense, the Devils’ Tristan Wolenski and Mariam Rasslan shut down the Islanders’ sharp shooters until an open net goal by Mickiewicz with just 17 seconds remaining sealed the Devils’ 4-2 victory
