89, passed away on, May 19, 2016, at the Jersey City Medical Center, with his family by his side. Henry was born in Bayonne and has resided there all his life. Henry proudly served his country in the US Navy from 1944-1946 aboard the U.S.S. Boxwood; he received the Victory Medal, American Theater Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Medal. Upon returning home, he went to work for New York/Bell Telephone in Manhattan as a Construction Manager for 38 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers – Manhattan Chapter, and also the American Legion F.A. Mackenzie Post. Husband of the late Mildred G. (nee: Lisewski). Father of Barbara Boland and her husband Stephen. Grandfather of Ryan M. Boland and his wife Meghan, and Joanna V. Boland. Great-Grandfather of Abigail Boland. Brother of the late Helen Stickno and Lottie Jakubik. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
