To the Editor:
The world has changed considerably since I was a child. Growing up in Bayonne was bucolic, and neighborhood meant everything. As I’ve grown older I’ve become less naive and learned to see the world as it is. Social media tells me that I have hundreds of friends when in reality I’m lucky to have three. While I enjoy seeing all my friends’ pics on FB, I don’t care about some of their opinions regarding Bayonne. I made a decision to stay here. Some of them did not. Just because they grew up here doesn’t mean their opinion is still relevant. Moving out of town means their opinions on elected officials are baseless. Just as my opinion on Belmar and Cranford don’t matter, their views on Bayonne carry no weight.
