Division of Recreation announces Lacrosse Camp this summer for ages 5-14

Mayor Jimmy Davis has announced the Division of Recreation will offer Lacrosse Camp this summer for ages 5-14. The Division of Recreation will team up once again with the US Sports Institute and the Lacrosse camp is designed for beginners with little or no previous lacrosse experience. Children will learn the fundamental skills and rules of lacrosse during the week long program. All activities are non-contact to ensure the safety of all children.

Lacrosse is open to boys and girls and players will be grouped by age, playing ability and skill level. All equipment is provided making this an affordable way for children to learn the game.

Program highlights include stick familiarity, cradling and scooping, running with the ball, throwing and catching, and shooting and dodging.

Lacrosse camp will run June 27 through July 1 at 16th Street Park. The cost of the Lacrosse Camp is $140 per child. To register, visit the US Sports Institute website, www.usasportgroup.com. For more information, contact Pete Amadeo at (201) 858-6129 or email bayonnerec@aol.com.
